Laser Sensors are ideal measuring instruments for steel mill environments. They enable precision dimensional measurements, at high speeds to targets that may be very hot, vibrating or otherwise unsuitable for tactile probes.

ST203 Laser Sensors

Sequence Technologies' ST203 Laser Sensors use non-contact triangulation measurement principles to accurate gauge the distance to its target. Equipped with modern CMOS detectors, these sensors can measure the varying surface reflections of moving targets, even glowing hot steel. Typical data interfaces are RS232 serial or 4-20mA analog. With steel mills in mind, Sequence Technlogies offers enclosures for laser sensors which protect them from airborne debris, mechanical hazards and most importantly, high temperatures.
